I know it can be frustrating getting denied by your insurance company.. It happened to me I was all excited about getting a abdominoplasty / tummy tuck especially when they said it was covered under my insurance plan. But then Dr.Krahn's office submitted for authorization and they said NO!They thought it wasn't medically necessary, but Dr.Krahn and Kristen thought otherwise, they submitted an appeal and they approved my surgery. I am soooooo thankful I had such a great doctors office team that truly cares and will fight for their patients , because I did try to get this submitted through other doctors and they said oh your insurance will never approve it or they didn’t want to deal with insurance at all. So with that being said never give up there is always someone else in insurance that looks at each situation differently.

That's amazing that you got your surgery approved! I'm wondering how common it is to get approval. I want to have the surgery, but only want to go through with it if I know my insurance will cover it. What kind of insurance do you have? Do you think private health insurance would cover it? I haven't gotten a definite answer from anyone just yet, so I want to see what my chances are before I get too excited.
